An Enterprise rental truck crashed into a concrete pillar and flipped over in southwest Houston.

The truck was going southbound on Chimney Rock at US-59 about 3:30 a.m. when it hit a stopped car sitting at a red light at the intersection. After hitting the car, the truck swerved off the road and struck a concrete pillar under the freeway. Police state that the driver sustained minimal injuries while the crash did not cause serious injuries to anyone else.

The driver was arrested and is being tested for driving while intoxicated, as per Houston police. On Monday morning, traffic was slow on the main lanes of the Southwest Freeway approaching the West Loop as authorities continued to investigate the crash.
