On Sunday night, a big rig flipped over following a crash on 210 Freeway near San Dimas Avenue.
The incident took place at 5:36 p.m. on the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway near San Dimas Avenue. As per reports, an eastbound big rig’s tire came loose after which it went across the center divider and struck a westbound big rig. The westbound big rig rolled over after being hit by the tire.
The CHP confirmed that the overturned big rig was carrying hay. The crash resulted in the closure of the westbound lanes. The authorities mentioned that the driver of the rolled over truck managed to come out of his vehicle. It has not yet been confirmed whether he needed any medical assistance or required hospitalization.
The authorities issued a SigAlert at 5:44 p.m. and shut down all westbound lanes on San Dimas Avenue due to the crash. At about 8:00 p.m., the HOV lane reopened again for traffic while the fast lane reopened at around 11:30 p.m. By 1:17 a.m. Monday, they canceled the SigAlert.
An investigation is continuing.
