Bicyclist hospitalized after a hit-and-run accident along Jefferson Street; involved driver sought (Nashville, TN)

On Monday morning, a hit-and-run accident left a bicyclist in hospital while authorities are looking for the suspect vehicle and the involved driver.

As per the initial information, a man riding a bike was struck near the 2600 block of Jefferson Street, close to Family Dollar at about 8:45 a.m. On arrival, first responders transported the bicycle rider to a hospital in an unknown condition.

Authorities suspect that the cyclist was hit by a silver Chevy Impala with front-end damage. The events that have led up to the collision remain unknown at this time. No further details are available relating to the crash.

The incident remains under active review.
