Authorities identified of 72-year-old Clyde Richard Holes as the man who lost his life when his pickup went down an embankment northeast of Ramona last week.
Clyde Richard Holes, a Santa Ysabel resident, was driving west on State Route 78, near Rancho Santa Teresa Drive at around 8:10 p.m. Tuesday when he failed to negotiate a curve for unknown reasons.
Holes’ truck then swerved off the highway and rolled down an embankment, ejecting him from the vehicle in the process. A bystander who saw the headlights of the vehicle off the roadway called 911 for help. Reports further stated that Holes succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Reports also mentioned that a passenger was hurt and pinned in the pickup.
