Officials identified 43-year-old Emily H Ross as the woman who lost her life Monday night following a traffic accident 2 miles north of Deer Park.
The fatal multi-vehicle accident took place on State Route 395 near Spotted Road. Emily H Ross, a Spokane woman, was driving a 1997 Ford Aerostar south when she turned into the northbound lanes of the highway and crashed into the side of a vehicle. Just then, a third and fourth vehicle that were also heading north on the highway, hit Ross’s vehicle.
38-year-old Carriann J Rogers, of Loon Lake, who was driving the fourth vehicle, suffered injuries as a result of the collision. The extent of her injuries was unknown as of Wednesday. The cause of the wreck remains unknown at this time.
An investigation continues.
