Authorities identified 42-year-old Aaron Pickrell who died after a pedestrian crash in Mansfield (Mansfield, TX)

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified 42-year-old Aaron Pickrell, of Kennedale, as the man who lost his life after being struck by a car Tuesday morning in Mansfield.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place in the 1800 block of US 287 southbound at about 5 a.m. The investigation reports showed that the driver involved in the incident, called 911 believing he struck a deer, and stayed at the scene.

The reports later confirmed that Pickrell was hit while he was attempting to cross the highway. No charges have been filed as of this time. No other details have been released by the authorities.

An investigation is ongoing at this time.
