Authorities identified 39-year-old Decarlos Theus who died after a crash in southwest Shreveport (Shreveport, LA)

On early Monday morning, 39-year-old Decarlos Theus lost his life following a single-vehicle accident in southwest Shreveport.

The investigation reports showed that the man was driving his vehicle at a high rate of speed on Walker Road a little before 2:45 a.m. Just then, his vehicle struck a traffic light pole at Colquitt Road for reasons that are yet to be known.

The coroner’s office identified the man as Decarlos Theus. According to the reports, the victim was recognized through fingerprint comparison; an autopsy has been authorized. No other details are immediately available.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
