Authorities identified 30-year-old Steven Davenport who died in a motorcycle crash (Beverly Hills, CA)

Authorities identified 30-year-old Steven Davenport as the man who was involved in a deadly motorcycle crash on July 1. The other victim, who also suffered injuries in the crash, has not been identified as yet. Officials identified Davenport on Sunday, July 11. Both victims are residents of Sacramento.

The incident took place at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Glenroy Avenue near the campus of UCLA. The two were driving in the westbound lane when Davenport veered into the other lane, lost control of the bike, and crashed into a Volvo heading eastbound. The impact of the collision threw both riders from the motorcycle, hitting the pavement.

As per the authorities, paramedics responded to the scene and rushed the victims to a local hospital. Davenport later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The other victim was treated for injuries she received. The driver of the Volvo stayed at the scene until authorities reached at the scene. No further details are available regarding the crash.

An investigation is continuing.
