Authorities identified 29-year-old Kemi Gilmore who died in a single-car crash along Joor Road (Baton Rouge, LA)

Authorities identified 29-year-old Kemi Gilmore, of Baton Rouge, as the woman who lost her life in a tragic crash along Joor Road.

On Wednesday morning, Louisiana State Police are looking into the crash, which reportedly took place just after 2 a.m. on Joor Road and Mickens, close to Greenwell Street. The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner’s office identified the victim as 29-year-old Kemi Gilmore.

The preliminary investigation showed that Gilmore was travelling northbound on LA Hwy 946 in a 2020 Nissan Sentra when for unknown reasons, Gilmore’s Nissan veered off road and slammed into a tree. Reportedly, Gilmore was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was declared deceased on the scene by the officials. Gilmore was a resident of Baton Rouge, police confirmed.

An investigation is ongoing at this time.
