Authorities identified 28-year-old Kevin Shaw as the man who died after a two-vehicle accident Saturday morning on the city’s West Side.
As per the initial information, the fatal bicycle accident took place at about 8:25 a.m. on S. General McMullen Drive and Ceralvo Street. The preliminary reports showed that a Toyota Tacoma driven by a 45-year-woman struck Shaw riding the bicycle.
Kevin Shaw received major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the officials. It is unknown if impairment played a part in the incident. No other details are available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
