Authorities identified 26-year-old Francisco Gutierrez-Cruz who died after a crash in Yakima County (Yakima County, WA)

Officials identified 26-year-old Francisco Gutierrez-Cruz, a resident of Toppenish, as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle crash on Saturday night in Yakima County.

According to the reports, the fatal car crash took place at about 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Meyers Road and State Route 22. Authorities stated that Francisco Gutierrez-Cruz failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into a semi-truck.

The driver of the semi-truck remained uninjured as a result of the collision. The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office notified Gutierrez-Cruz’s family on Monday. No other details are available.

An investigation into the crash is continuing.
