Authorities identified a 25-year-old Anthony Pizarro who lost his life after a fatal motorcycle crash in Virginia City on Sunday.
The incident occurred just after 6 p.m. on March 28 on SR-431 at D Street. The Nevada Highway Patrol said that 25-year-old Anthony Pizarro was steering a Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on SR-341.
Officials said that he was traveling at a very high speed and hit the brakes as he approached a sharp left-hand curve. Pizarro’s wheels locked and he veered off the road. Troopers said that the crash ejected him from the motorcycle as it overturned down an embankment. Pizarro was transported through CareFlight to a hospital where he later died.
