The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in Cherokee County on Thursday afternoon.
The accident happened close to Old Vander Road on Interstate 575 south at around 3 p.m.
Daniel Blankowski, a DJ of Atlanta was the driver when he rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped for traffic.
He was injured and transported to a nearby hospital.
He was declared dead later in the hospital by the officials.
According to deputies, the other driver should make a full recovery.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the police.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
