At least one person received serious injuries following a crash Wednesday in Tucson.
As per the initial information, the accident involving a pedestrian took place at the corner of East Speedway Boulevard and North Alvernon Way. The events that have led up to the incident remain unknown at this time.
It is unknown if anyone else was injured in the crash. Traffic headed east on Speedway Boulevard was briefly shut down while crews worked at the scene. Drivers were asked to avoid the area and seek an alternate route. The identity of the victim remains undisclosed. No other details are available.
