At least one person was killed after a traffic collision Thursday morning in Cherokee County.
As per the initial information, the fatal crash took place on FM 23, south of FM 2211 at about 6:40 a.m. near Rusk. It is unknown if the incident caused any other injuries. The events that have led up to the accident also remain unclear.
The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No further details are available.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
