The Arizona Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle crash in Buckeye on Monday morning. The accident happened on Interstate 19 close to milepost 103.
Two semis, as well as a few other vehicles, were involved in this collision. One semi was towing a flatbed and jackknifed across all eastbound lanes of I-10.
According to the DPS, at least one person passed away at the scene. The name and identity of the victim have not been made public yet.
It is unknown what caused the crash. Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found.
I-10 eastbound is completely closed and other details regarding the fatal crash are not available currently.
