Louisiana Department of Transportation responded to a traffic crash on I-12 East at Airline Highway on Thursday evening.
According to the officials, one person was taken to the local hospital with critical injuries.
DOTD said two lanes are blocked on I-12 East at Airline Highway following the crash.
Additional information regarding the crash is currently unavailable. An investigation into the crash is under review.
It is unclear what caused the crash and if alcohol was a factor.
