A series of three separate crashes in Houston has resulted in the deaths of at least four people, as reported by the Houston Police Department. The first crash occurred around 9 p.m. at Telephone Road and Santa Fe Drive, where a driver crashed into a pole and their vehicle burst into flames.
Despite efforts by a witness to rescue the 62-year-old driver, they later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. Approximately 45 minutes later, another crash took place at Fondren Road and Main Street, where a speeding BMW slammed into a TxDOT exit sign, killing both the 22-year-old driver and the 23-year-old passenger.
An hour later, a third crash at Westheimer Road and Greenridge Drive involved an SUV striking and killing a 60-year-old pedestrian. The driver, a 24-year-old, was not charged as authorities do not suspect intoxication. The investigation into these tragic incidents is ongoing.
