A fatal multi-vehicle accident involving five cars occurred in Yuba City near the intersection of State Route 20 and Harter Parkway around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday. One person was fatally injured and was pronounced dead, but their identity remains unknown.
Traffic in the area was disrupted for nearly nine hours as investigators worked to determine the cause and details of the fatal crash. Damage to the front ends of the vehicles involved was evident, though it’s unclear if speed was a factor.
