Washington State Patrol (WSP) is probing a two-car crash on US-12 near Gleed. According to WSP reports, a Hyundai Tucson failed to yield the right of way at US-12 and Mapleway Road, resulting in a fatal crash with a westbound Jeep Wrangler.

Both drivers sustained injuries and were transported to Multicare Yakima for treatment. Charges are pending for the 75-year-old driver of the Hyundai. At present, it remains unclear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

WSP continues its investigation into the multi-vehicle incident to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the collision. As details unfold, authorities urge caution and adherence to traffic laws to prevent similar accidents in the future.
