The California Highway Patrol reported a multi-vehicle collision that took place in Monterey County at least claimed the life of a person.
Approximately at 11:48 p.m., near state route 1, Castroville in Monterey County, a multi-vehicle collision occurred. The number of vehicles involved in the collision is not yet known.
At least one person was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
