In a tragic early morning multi-vehicle accident on Monday, at least one person lost their life in a collision between two vehicles. The accident occurred on Interstate Highway 280 in Daly City, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The crash occurred around 2:45 a.m. on southbound I-280 near Eastmoor Avenue, involving a minivan and a sedan. One of the vehicles flipped over, scattering glass and debris on the roadway. The CHP closed some southbound lanes of the highway at 3 a.m. due to the crash.
By 3:15 a.m., a coroner was summoned to the scene, indicating that at least one person was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim is not yet known at this time.
The investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing. There are no other details available.
