A tragic incident unfolded in Cherokee County as a multi-vehicle accident occurred on Hwy. 84 W. in the Rusk area, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
Witnesses report that the vehicles involved in the collision caught fire. The officials have not reported the number of vehicles involved in the collision. The events leading up to the crash are not entirely clear at this time.
Regrettably, at least one individual was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time. The fatal crash is still being investigated by the authorities.
CBS19 is actively working to gather additional details and will provide updates on the situation as more information becomes available. However, no alcohol or drugs were not found at the scene of the collision.
