A tragic multi-vehicle accident claimed the life of at least one person in Antelope Center near the Mojave Desert. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident occurred around 1:25 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of 170th Street East and East Avenue S.
The CHP has not provided information regarding the age or gender of the victim as of yet. The identity of the deceased individual has been withheld pending notification of next of kin. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. Authorities are working diligently to determine the cause of the fatal crash and to provide support to those affected by the tragedy.
