According to the California Highway Patrol, at least one person was killed in a motor vehicle rollover crash that occurred in Boyle Heights on Monday. The accident occurred at around 6:00 a.m.
According to the officials, a single vehicle was involved in the collision. A white SUV travelling eastbound on the motorway at Lorena Street lost control and toppled down for unknown reasons. One of the two occupants of the vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
