The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Thursday and confirmed that one person died. 

Around 6:15 a.m. the crash happened in the area of San Pablo Dam and May roads due to a collision  between a motorcycle and a white truck.

Lanes were temporarily blocked as authorities carried on their investigation into the incident. The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. 

No further details regarding the identity of the deceased have been made available at this time. 

It remains uncertain whether alcohol or drugs were contributing factors in the collision.
