The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported a motor vehicle accident in South Los Angeles on February 2. The crash occurred before 2:30 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of 105 Freeway, near Normandie Avenue.
According to the authorities, the high-speed crash claimed the lives of two individuals, with suspicions pointing to possible involvement in street racing. Firefighters arrived to find a severely damaged car lodged in a tree, engulfed in flames. The victims were fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene. The identities of the victims have not yet been disclosed.
Details regarding the events leading up to the fatal crash remain undisclosed while the investigation continues. Although initial reports suggested a potential link to street racing, authorities have yet to confirm this speculation.
