The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident in Irving on Sunday. The accident occurred on Loop 12 at around 4:30 a.m.
According to the officials, there were two collisions, only one of which was deadly. The first collision occurred at around 2:30 a.m. The second crash occurred as a vehicle crashed into a fire truck that was responding to the first crash.
The driver of the second vehicle was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
