A Florida man tragically lost his life following an accident while working on a utility bucket truck in Dearing, Georgia. Andrew Francis, 48, of Tamarac, Florida, succumbed to his injuries after the accident occurred on Old Whiteoak Road.
Authorities received the call about the incident at 3:45 P.M. According to the McDuffie County Coroner’s Office, Francis was pronounced dead on the scene at 4:25 P.M. The accident occurred as Francis was working on running a cable line across the road, which became entangled with a passing vehicle.
The Georgia State Patrol and McDuffie County Coroner’s Office are investigating the incident, with an autopsy scheduled with the Crime Lab in Atlanta.
