A tragic car crash near Renton has left the South King County community mourning the loss of Andrea Hudson, 38, and three children, Matilda Wilcoxson (13), Eloise Wilcoxson (12), and Boyd Buster Brown (12).
The incident also injured Hudson’s two older children, Nolan and Charlotte, who are currently receiving medical care at Harborview Medical Center. The crash, caused by 18-year-old Chase Daniel Jones, resulted in Hudson’s minivan being struck after Jones allegedly ran a red light at Southeast 192nd Street and 140th Avenue Southeast.
Prosecutors have charged Jones with vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, and reckless driving. Witnesses reported Jones was speeding and weaving through traffic, reaching a speed of 112 mph in a 40 mph zone.
