Authorities reported the closure of lanes on I-80 after a big rig turned over.
As per the initial information, a big rig jack-knifed on slick roads for reasons that are yet to be known. According to the officials, all eastbound traffic on I-80 was shut down at Donner Summit as crews worked to clear the scene.
Authorities initially did not provide any estimated time of reopening of the roads as investigation was ongoing in the area. Officers later announced that the Donner Summit section of I-80 East was reopened to traffic at 10:27 p.m. At this time, it is unknown if anyone suffered injuries as a result of the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
