A person lost their life following an off-road vehicle crash in rural Jamul, authorities confirmed on Wednesday.
Information is limited at this time, but the California Highway Patrol stated that the fatal incident was reported at 11:34 p.m. Tuesday at 17850 W. Boundary Truck Trail. A CHP dispatcher mentioned that a law-enforcement helicopter was requested in to assist, but that further details were unavailable.
The circumstances that have led up to the crash remain unknown. It is also unclear if the crash caused any injuries. Authorities will release the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
