An intoxicated woman crashed her vehicle into construction zone in Puyallup (Puyallup, WA)

On Monday afternoon, a 38-year-old intoxicated woman smashed her vehicle through safety barriers at a construction zone and the vehicle got stuck in a trench in Puyallup.

According to the Puyallup police, the crash took place at about 1:30 p.m. in the 2400 block of East Main Street. The woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Three workers down in the trench left seconds before the car, a gray Honda, crashed into it, officials reported.

As per the reports, the woman was later subjected to a breath test and was estimated to have blood alcohol content between 0.28% and 0.29%. It is unknown at this time if the driver suffered any injuries as a result of the accident.

An investigation is continuing.
