An auto-pedestrian crash killed a man on 110 Freeway and Carson Street (Carson, CA)

On Saturday, a man lost his life after being struck by a vehicle while he was lying on the highway on 110 Freeway and Carson Street.

Officers quickly responded to the crash scene at about 12:39 a.m. to the southbound 110 Freeway, north of Carson Street. As per reports, the pedestrian was lying in the number two lane of southbound 110 Freeway when he was hit by a 1999 Lexus.

The vehicle was traveling at a speed of 65 to 70 mph at the time of the accident. On arrival, authorities declared the pedestrian dead. The 17-year-old boy driving the Lexus was not hurt. The identity of the deceased will be revealed after notifying the next of kin.

An investigation is underway at this time.
