On Wednesday morning, a man lost his life in an auto-pedestrian accident on Maude Avenue and Borregas Avenue.
Officials actively responded to the crash scene at around 5:10 a.m. involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. As per authorities, the pedestrian sustained critical injuries and first responders started medical treatment but despite of all life-saving efforts, the man breathed his last after some time.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim due to pending family notification. The involved vehicle’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Officials confirmed that drugs and alcohol did not play a factor in the fatal pedestrian crash.
The incident remains under review.
