On Wednesday, 48-year-old Brent Trotter, a resident of Pineville, was killed in an auto-pedestrian accident in Pineville.
The fatal incident took place at about 10 p.m. in the 4100 block of Hwy 28 East. Reports indicated that Brent Trotter was crossing the highway wearing dark clothing when he was fatally hit by a vehicle.
After the first impact, he was then run over by two other vehicles. Contact was made with the driver at the scene. Toxicology results are pending at this time, officials stated. No other details have been released as of this moment.
The authorities will continue to investigate the crash.
