An 85-Year-Old Pedestrian Was Killed In Motor Vehicle Crash In Santa Clara (Santa Clara, CA)

According to the Santa Clara Police, a pickup truck hit a pedestrian at the intersection of Homestead Road and Maryann Drive on Friday in a fatal pedestrian accident.

A Toyota pickup truck driving westbound on Homestead Road hit an 85-year-old pedestrian who was walking in the crosswalk. 

The pedestrian was pronounced dead even after CPR by the police and the fire crews. The driver of Toyota,  a 55-year-old, from Cupertino, stayed at the location and cooperated in the investigation. 

The identity of the deceased pedestrian is not disclosed yet.  Alcohol or drugs did not play a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at this moment.
