An 80-year-old man injured after an auto-pedestrian collision on the Northwest Side (San Antonio, TX)

On late Wednesday night, an 80-year-old man suffered injuries after an auto-pedestrian accident on the Northwest Side.

The crash took place shortly after 8:30 p.m. in the 7100 block of Wurzbach Road, not far from Babcock Road on the city’s Northwest Side. Officers reported that the man was attempting to cross the street when he was hit by the vehicle. On arrival, medics transported the victim to University Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the man stopped to render aid. According to the San Antonio Police Department, the area is badly lit and that there is a hill that drivers have to navigate. No charges are expected to be filed against the driver.

An investigation is underway.
