An 18-wheeler carrying beer veered off the road and got stuck in a ditch (San Antonio, TX)

On early Monday morning, authorities blocked exit ramp from eastbound Loop 1604 to eastbound Interstate 10 West to remove an 18-wheeler that got stuck in a drainage area.

According to police, an 18-wheeler carrying beer was heading eastbound on Interstate 10 West at about 4:45 a.m. and was trying to take the exit ramp onto Loop 1604. The truck suddenly swerved off the access road and went into a trench.

Officials shut down the ramp for eastbound Loop 1604 to eastbound Interstate 10 West to remove the truck and its cargo. SAPD confirmed that the occupants of the 18-wheeler did not suffer any serious injuries. The accident did not involve any other vehicles.

The crash remains under active investigation.
