A wrong-way collision injured 4 people on Highway 101 (Los Angeles, CA)

On Tuesday, four people suffered injuries following a wrong-way crash on Highway 101.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place at about 7:40 p.m. on Highway 101 and Alisos Canyon Road. The preliminary investigation indicated that a southbound vehicle going on the northbound lanes crashed into another vehicle.

On arrival, emergency responders freed at least three people who were pinned inside the wreckage. CalStar medical helicopter airlifted one person to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in critical condition. Two more people were rushed to a hospital with critical injuries while one with minimal injuries through ground ambulance. No other details are available.

The crash remains under review.
