On Saturday, a woman lost her life and two other sustained injuries after a car crashed into a home on South Buckingham Road.
Authorities immediately responded to the crash at 1:23 a.m. on the 3900 block area, in which an SUV slammed into a home. On arrival, emergency crews tried to rescue two residents who were pinned inside the house.
Officers later declared a woman dead at the scene. First responders transported a male resident and the SUV driver to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police officers also received minimal injuries, but refused to be taken to a hospital.
The crash remains under review.
