On early Saturday morning, a woman lost her life following an auto-pedestrian crash near Elayn Hunt Correctional Center.
As per the initial information, a driver called the police after he struck something in the road at about 3:45 a.m. near Elayn Hunt Correctional Center. On arrival, officials found an injured woman lying on the side of the road.
Emergency crews rushed her to a local hospital, but she later succumbed to her injuries. Authorities have not provided any other details in connection with the incident at this time. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified.
The crash remains under investigation.
