On Sunday afternoon, a 64-year-old Kenneth Lee Dupre lost his life after being hit by a vehicle on I-55 in Lincoln County.
Kenneth Lee Dupre, 64, of Magnolia, was in the roadway on I-55 after hitting his vehicle in the median, as per the Mississippi Highway Patrol Cpl. Craig James. A 2016 Cadillac Escalade steered by Neal Binkley, 44, of New Orleans, Louisiana, was heading south on the interstate and struck Dupre at approximately 12:24 a.m. near mile marker 30 at Bogue Chitto. Dupre suffered fatal injuries from the crash and was declared dead on the scene. Authorities have not released any further information about the pedestrian crash.
An investigation is underway.
