A vehicle hit and seriously injured a pedestrian in Lacey (Lacey, WA)

On Friday afternoon, one person suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Lacey.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of 53rd Ave. and College St. Southeast. The early reports showed that a vehicle hit a pedestrian for reasons that are yet to be known.

The current condition of the victim is unknown at this time. Several lanes were shut down in both directions as crews worked at the scene. Motorists were advised to avoid the area. No other details are made available.

The incident remains under active review.
