A vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian in Reno (Reno, NV)

One person was killed after getting struck by a vehicle in Reno.

The fatal pedestrian accident took place in the area of 4th street and Arlington Avenue. On arrival, emergency responders performed lifesaving measures on the pedestrian. The victim was then rushed to the hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries. Reno Police Department major accident investigation team came to the scene.

The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. 4th Street was shut down in both directions between Arlington Ave and Nevada Street, but the road was back open at 5:45 P.M. No other details were provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
