A vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian in Huntington Beach (Huntington Beach, CA)

On Monday night, a pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Huntington Beach.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place at about 6:20 p.m. on Beach Boulevard and Yorktown Avenue. The early reports showed that a white Chevrolet Silverado hit the pedestrian for undetermined reasons. On arrival, responders found a woman in the street.

The woman suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The 58-year-old Silverado driver from Garden Grove remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Officials believe that drugs and alcohol were not involved in the accident. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
