A vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian in east Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV)

On Thursday night, a pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle in the east Las Vegas valley.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue at around 6 p.m. after getting reports of an auto-pedestrian accident. The early reports revealed that a pedestrian was running across the street outside of a crosswalk when they got struck by a vehicle.

On arrival, emergency crews rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries. Authorities closed Boulder from Harmon to Tropicana as crews worked at the scene. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
