On early Sunday morning, a male pedestrian lost his life after being hit by a vehicle on Route 67 in Lakeside.
The fatal pedestrian accident was reported at 2:34 a.m. at the intersection with San Vicente Avenue, as per the California Highway Patrol. On arrival, authorities declared the male pedestrian deceased, the CHP stated. According to reports, the female driver of the vehicle stopped and called 911 for help.
She was then transported to a hospital and her current condition is unknown. Authorities have not provided any further information regarding the crash and the identity of the deceased remains undisclosed at this time.
The crash remains under review.
