A vehicle hit and killed a male pedestrian on Highway 99 (Lynnwood, WA)

On Tuesday, an auto-pedestrian crash claimed the life of a man on Highway 99.

As per the initial information, the fatal incident happened near 204th Street Southwest. The preliminary reports showed that the victim was with his dog when the vehicle hit him. Reports further revealed that the pedestrian was not inside a crosswalk when the collision took place.

The driver stopped after the accident and called 911 for help. The motorist also stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigating team. According to the reports, responding officers later found the dog alive. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified.

The crash remains under investigation.
