A vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian on Rosecrans Street (San Diego, CA)

On Thursday, a 50-year-old man suffered injuries after getting struck by a vehicle on Rosecrans Street.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian accident took place at around 7:40 near Sports Arena Boulevard. The early reports showed that a driver of a northbound 2002 Ford F-150 passed through a green light at Sports Arena Boulevard and hit the man. The man had multiple fractures to his upper and lower body, but his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.

On arrival, paramedics transported him to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the involved vehicle was identified as a 45-year-old man. Officials mentioned that the pedestrian was not in a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision. No other information was provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
